Wee Range Humbucker

The Wee Range is anything but small. Similar to the Vintage ’72 in appearance and tone the Wee Range humbucker is both lower output and slightly heavier than the Vintage ’72. Being smaller in stature it cannot use the large coils of the traditional WRHB. But it does use the threaded magnet and Alnico V combination we build the Vintage 72’s with. It is both clear and full with smooth high frequencies.

The Wee Range can be split to produce a very satisfying single coil tone (with lower output, of course) that is spanky, chimey and sparkling.

These are ideal replacements for the Fender Shawbucker and go in the opposite direction tonally.

P.A.F. sized these fit into a standard humbucker route.

Available in F-spacing (52mm bridge and 50mm neck) or Gibson (50mm bridge and neck).

Bridge: 9.4k, Neck: 8.2k

A NOTE ABOUT SOUND CLIPS:

Corporate marketing hype has made it mostly necessary to include sound clips and resistance specifications. Both have very limited meaning and are, in many ways, lies. The best player can make the lousiest guitar loaded with the cheapest pickups played through the lamest amp sound downright amazing. For that reason I feel that clips are misleading. Clips let you hear almost everything except the pickup and primarily the amp in a controlled environment that’s not readily reproducible. Please take these thoughts into consideration.
